  1. The Information to which this policy applies includes:

    2. Sensitive Personal Data or Information (SPDI): This includes but is not limited to passwords, financial data (bank account, credit card details), health condition, sexual orientation, medical history, biometric data, location data, and contact numbers necessary for emergency services.
    3. Non personal information: Any information which is not directly related to the user is considered to be non-personal information such as company of vehicle, age of vehicle, nature of battery whether li-ion or lead battery, age of the battery etc.
  2. Pursuant to applicable privacy regulations and industry standards, any data that does not pertain directly to an identifiable individual shall be classified as non-personal information. This includes, but is not limited to, details such as the manufacturer of the vehicle, the year of vehicle production, the type of battery utilized—whether lithium-ion or lead-acid—and the age of the battery, among other similar attributes. Such categorization is critical for compliance with relevant statutory frameworks governing data privacy, including but not limited to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the data protection laws in India. As such, this information is not subject to restrictions typically associated with personal data.

Notwithstanding the aforementioned considerations, it is imperative to acknowledge that non-personal information may be utilized to enhance the quality and efficiency of services rendered by the platform. Such utilization aligns with applicable privacy regulations, including but not limited to the General Data Protection Regulation, which permits the processing of non-personal data for purposes of improving user experience and service delivery. Pointo may collect and utilize the Information for legitimate business purposes including, but not limited to:

  1. Processing orders and queries.

  4. Ensuring driver safety through SOS features.

7. Access and Correction of Information


Users may modify or correct their Information through the features available on the Platform. If a User is unable to perform such modifications or wishes to withdraw consent for processing SPDI, they may contact the Grievance/Law Officer whose details are provided in Clause 12 of this policy.

8. Retention and Security of Information


  1. Information Retention: Pointo will retain Information only for as long as is necessary to comply with legal obligations or to fulfill business purposes as outlined in this policy.
  2. Security Measures: Pointo has established and maintains comprehensive security practices and protocols which conform to global standards. This includes robust managerial, technical, operational, and physical security controls designed to safeguard the Information we manage.

9. Disclosure of Information


  1. Legal Compliance: Pointo shall not disclose Information for purposes other than those set forth in this policy unless consent is obtained from the User or such disclosure is mandated by law. Circumstances under which Information may be disclosed include.
    1. Compliance with legal obligations as required by law enforcement or government agencies.
    2. Situations necessitating disclosure of driver information for emergency response purposes via the SOS feature.
  2. Third-Party Sharing: Where necessary, Pointo may share Information with business partners or third parties. In instances of such disclosures, Pointo will ensure that the recipient adheres to equivalent security practices and procedures to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of the Information shared.

10. Amendments to the Policy


Pointo reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time. Any modifications will be communicated through the Platform. It is the User's responsibility to periodically review this policy for any updates.

11. Option to Opt-Out


Should the user find themselves in disagreement with the terms and conditions set forth in this Privacy Policy, it is imperative that they exit the website or mobile application immediately. By failing to do so and continuing to access or utilize the services provided, the user shall be deemed to have acknowledged and provided their unequivocal consent to the terms outlined herein.
